Jean Paul Gaultier’s launches a spring line exclusively for Target stores this March. We’re excited to see a fresh mix of cozy and casual clothes with a high end spin- and name. So what can we expect from this fabulous line? Cropped motorcycle jackets, draped tanks, vintage influenced dresses, pin stripe pieces, and so much more! I want a mix of everything from the Jean Paul Gaultier for Target line, but unfortunately I have to wait until March 10 2010. And, unfortunately again, I don’t have any photos of his upcoming line to share with you. Yesterday morning we were shocked to find out the tragic loss of avant-garde fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
Born as Lee Alexander McQueen, he realized his passion for fashion at a young age. He started out his career by sewing dresses for his sisters, and announced to his family that his dream was to become a fashion designer. Years later, he graduated the Rokeby school with an O-Level in the arts, and started a few apprenticeships at various fashion companies. In the mid-nineties, McQueen went on to study at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, which is one of London’s best fashion schools. Eventually he earned his masters degree in fashion design, and met the late Isabella Blow who helped him launch his fashion career.
Since then, Alexander McQueen became the designer who would push the limits fashion-wise and create beautiful clothes that were also provocative. Even though he was a key figure in the London fashion scene, he was adored by fashionistas all over the world, especially Hollywood. He wonderful designs adorn Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady GaGa, Naomi Campbell, and many more. Alexander McQueen brought back the edginess in fashion with style and grace. He is a fashion legend, and he will be missed.

Today is very sad in the world of fashion. Fashion designer Alexander McQueen was found dead today in his London home. It appears to be suicide. He was scheduled to have his fall collection to be shown in Paris next month.
This weekend, we will give a tribute post about his fashion career and fabulous designs. He will be missed much by many fashionistas around the world. Our thoughts go out towards his family and friends.
